## Description Update the root README.md to provide a clear and comprehensive overview of the entire project. The README should introduce the application, describe its purpose and planned functionality, and document the main technologies and architectural choices. It should reflect the project's current progress towards the second interim submission, including the database and backend setup and the interaction between the frontend and backend. Link to any additional README files or relevant documentation located elsewhere in the repository to make it easy to navigate the project. ## Acceptance Criteria - Contains: description of project, tech stack - Contains a clear description of the project, its purpose, and its main functionality. - Documents the technology stack, including the frontend, backend, database, and relevant libraries or frameworks. - Describes the main components of the application and how they interact. - Explains how to install and run the application, including any necessary setup instructions for the frontend, backend, and database. - Documents the current implementation and identifies functionality that is planned but not yet implemented, where relevant. - Links to additional README files and relevant documentation elsewhere in the repository. - Is structured, readable, and up to date with the current state of the project. ## Subissues - Document the frontend and its functionality. (#) - Document the backend, GraphQL API, and database setup. (#) - Document installation and execution instructions. (#) ## Notes - The README should reflect the requirements for the second interim submission, with particular emphasis on the working database and backend on the VM and interaction with the frontend. - The project uses React, TypeScript, and Vite for the frontend, and a custom GraphQL backend using Node.js and TypeScript. - The database and backend must run directly on the group's VM, not through Docker, in accordance with the project requirements. - Keep the root README focused on the overall project. Detailed setup instructions and technical documentation can be maintained in separate files and linked from the root README. - Update the documentation as the project evolves towards the third and fourth interim submissions.
