Universal Design
Universal Design (UD) is an approach for designers to make products and services accessible and usable to the largest possible audience without the need for adaptation or specialized design.
Universal Design principles can be applied throughout the development a user interface to improve the usability and accesiblity. This includes keeping the colors consistent and readable. In addition, to ensuring that labels have clear messaging, and that user actions have reasonable consequences.
User Testing plays a key role in implementation by helping to identify flaws and possible improvements connected to the user interface, to align better with the principles of Universal Design.
